• Iran: The Iranian foreign minister has warned there are “no red lines” in defending the country’s interests. Iran has informed the US it will retaliate against any new attack by Israel, a source in Tehran said. Meanwhile, the US will send about 100 troops to operate an advanced anti-missile system in Israel to help bolster its defenses.

• Gaza: At least 300 people have been killed by Israeli bombardment on a refugee camp in northern Gaza over the past nine days, the Gaza government media office said Sunday. On Saturday, at least 22 people were killed, according to emergency responders. It comes as Israel is intensifying its military operations in the area, issuing evacuation orders and blocking food supplies.

Lebanon: Israel’s defense minister said Sunday that Hezbollah will not be allowed to return to the border villages in southern Lebanon. This comes as Israel has expanded evacuation warnings to over a dozen more villages in the area. Israel’s UN ambassador: “Incomprehensible” that UNIFIL peacekeepers remain in combat zone in southern Lebanon
From CNN’s Eugenia Yosef
Israel’s ambassador to the United Nations said it is “incomprehensible” that the UN has not moved UNIFIL peacekeepers away from parts of southern Lebanon where the Israeli military is fighting Hezbollah militants.

Addressing the UN, Danny Danon insisted that Hezbollah was using UNIFIL’s outposts to hide and place ambushes.

He once again demanded that UNIFIL (United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon) peacekeepers move five kilometers (3.1 miles) north of the border to avoid the line of fire, adding that Israel would continue holding talks with UN officials on the matter.

Danon also said an investigation is underway into an incident involving UNIFIL peacekeepers, without specifying which incident he was referring to.

UNIFIL reported Thursday that the peacekeepers were injured after an Israeli tank fired toward an observation tower at its headquarters in the southern Lebanese city Naqoura.
